Has worked in PR for almost 30 years, having started his career as a journalist. In 2000 he established MHW with colleague Ian Watson.
His focus is strategic communications, content marketing and
media campaigns for clients in several key sectors:
- Property and built environment
- Health and social care
- Industrial / manufacturing
- Hospitality and leisure
He manages a range of design projects for these clients and has successfully undertaken a number of corporate rebrand exercises. He also takes a lead on issues and crisis management within the consultancy.
Previously, for more than eight years, he worked as a reporter on a weekly and evening newspaper before joining The Journal in Newcastle, finally becoming business editor of The Northern Echo, Darlington. While at the Echo he enhanced his skills to become a sub-editor, designing daily business pages and a weekly supplement.
Has more than 35 years PR and communications experience. A
former national trade journalist, then press officer in the public
sector, he has been involved in the provision of a wide range of
high level communications advice and B2B marketing support services
to a number of clients.
These include specialist companies operating in technical B2B sectors as well as others involved in local public and social affairs.

For almost nine years he headed the MHW team providing press office services to three local NHS primary care trusts and in doing so managed a number of high profile public health and health education campaigns.
Andy has more than 25 years PR experience, working regionally, nationally and overseas for a diverse range of organisations. A former local newspaper reporter, his B2B and corporate experience includes:
- Building and construction products
- Security and authentication
Possessing good client handling and campaign planning skills, at MHW, Andy undertakes project management, copywriting and media relations for trade and technical clients such as CMR, ISO-Chemie, the International Hologram Manufacturers Association, the International Tax Stamp Association and Red Engineering.
An experienced PR and business writer for more than 20 years managing media and PR campaigns across various business sectors.
Jez has a journalistic background and maintains links with the regional press even today. Previously, he also worked in advocacy and lobbying consultancies in Brussels.

Jez has worked in agency, in-house and freelance environments. Uses his strong copywriting skills to produce online and offline content for international, national and regional press as well as numerous trade and technical publications.
Evelyn focuses on ensuring content management systems are kept up to date and provides a support role on social media activity for MHW PR and client accounts.
As a digital marketing apprentice, she continues to develop her skills and knowledge of the industry while attending training sessions to further strengthen her expertise.
She supports the PR team with a range of client work across a variety of industries, including trade and technical, care, hospitality and education.
She also manages the office and performs valuable admin duties.
