TOLES Legal, the organiser behind The Legal English Event in London, has appointed leading Newcastle public relations consultancy MHW to promote the event being held in London on November 1-2.
The event is the first of its kind anywhere in the world, focusing on the legal, language and tech skills that international commercial lawyers will need in the next decade. The event is tailored to international law firms, law students whose first language isn't English, universities and large corporates who work at a global level.
There will be four keynote presentations during the two-day event, including 'legal rebel' and international speaker Ken Adams who campaigns for clearer commercial contracts; along with law tech specialist Alex Hamilton who will highlight the combined threat and opportunity posed by technology in the sector.
In addition, the organisers, Catherine Mason and Natalie Canham of TOLES, will launch their latest book, Advanced Legal English.
MHW PR will undertake a media relations campaign, offline and online, advertising, social media activity along with email newsletters. MHW is also tasked with raising the general profile of TOLES Legal to a national and international audience.
Leading the communications campaign is PR director Wayne Halton and senior account manager Jez Davison.
Jez said: "This is an exciting project that throws up many issues in the legal sector - from work focused legal English, language that's current and practical, to the disruptive influence of technology in the sector."
