Tips on proof reading to prevent copy howlers

Even the best can drop a howler; that typo or speller that you read a dozen times but miss. It then presents itself loud and proud for the world to see, much to your embarrassment. Everyone has probably done it. President Donald Trump does it on a weekly basis. But in the communications industry we're meant to be a bit better than most. Proof reading is tedious but it's an important part of the final process in any copy writing, whether it's a blog like this, a media story or copy for marketing materials and ads. We invited MHW's PR assistant and digital apprentice, Evelyn Okukusie, to highlight her experiences and offer some tips to those starting out in the industry.
