THE DIRECTORS
Wayne Halton, director
Wayne started his working career as a journalist and for more than eight years worked as a reporter on a weekly and evening newspaper before joining The Journal in Newcastle and ultimately becoming business editor of The Northern Echo, Darlington.
While at the Northern Echo he enhanced his skills to become a sub-editor, designing daily business pages and a weekly business supplement. Since 1990 he has worked in the PR industry, in private consultancy. In 2000 he established MHW with two fellow directors.
His focus is public affairs and media campaigns for clients in several key sectors:
- Hospitality and leisure
- Corporate and professional services
- Energy and environmental
He also manages a range of design and print projects for these clients and has successfully undertaken a number of corporate rebrand exercises.
He takes a lead on events management within the consultancy, having organised small seminars to full blown, high-impact international product launches.
