MHW developed and implemented a mixed communications campaign promoting inward investment success stories, highlighting the business support and services provided by Tyne and Wear Development Company from start-ups to multi-national investors of the stature of Nissan and Nike.
Business media relations was a core activity in all campaigns along with specialist projects that included the promotion of the Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show, the North East Contact Centre Awards and the Contact Centre Conference.
With MHW's support, the annual Tyne and Wear Commercial Property Show grew into one of the biggest events of its type in the North.
To help showcase Tyne and Wear to investors outside the region a print and online Investor Guide was developed. MHW devised the content and managed its design and production, offering potential business investors an easy-to-use guide on key information.
MHW also managed the regular production of an Investor newsletter, distributed to thousands of SMEs across the region.
Continued media relations with regional press and broadcast and national specialist publications regularly put Tyne and Wear on the business investor map.
(Sadly, things came to an end in 2013, when Tyne and Wear Development Company was formally wound up by the five local authority members of the organisations as part of a wider regional restructuring programme affecting business support).
